Term 4 week 2
For our various plays , we've been rehearshing during Lit lessons as Mr.Chua told us to do so and he would bring us to a place to pratice. We were planning to meet up after school to do it next monday. I think that my group is doing a very good job in preparing the costumes as there were all very creative and nice. The actors are doing fine and i need to memorise my lines more as i keep forgeting it. I'm looking forward to next week's performances with my group and i'll do my best during rehearsals.

Term 4 Week 1
This is the starting of a new term. We were told that we will have to perfrom a play either " The Merchant Of Vernice " or " Romeo And Juliet " both taking up a huge percentage in our SA2 marks. Our group will be perfrom " Merchant Of Vernice " and that we are the only group in Secondary 2 NA doing it, the rest are doing " Romeo and Juliet " . I am an actor so i'll have to memorise my lines and pratice it acting out. I hope that i will not pull down the group as i seldom act and have no experience so this is a great learning experience for me.

Term 3 Week 7
There wasn't a post on Term 3 week 6 as it was the National Day on monday and tuesday was a holiday so there wasn't any lessons.
This week's lit lessons were mostly about " The Mighty Mandrian " . The passage is quite hard to understand as i don't understand quite alot of the parts and what it is saying. The starting was about a peasant going to look for the Mandrian and ask if he could not pay as he didn't have anymore. He had 3 sons and a daughter so he could only sell his daughter to the Mandrian to help his sons and himself. Her daughter Min had to serve the Mandrian as his slave and her lover came and rescue her. We were given a homework to do that was to draw the scence on a piece of given white paper that Mr.Chua gave and was to be completed two weeks after.

Term 3 Week 5
Mr.Chua gave us quizes before the lesson and told us that that is how we can become smarter by thinking and using our brains. He tested us about both Scene 1 and 2. I learnt that in scene 3, Older Elvis had a flashback and didn't treat his things well like his car and that he was speeding. Cape Canaveral is where NASA's rockets blast off and that his speed of the car was like rocket taking off. He took drugs because he didn't attend his mother's funeral and was very hurt by it as he was in the army performing and he really regretted it.

Term 3 Week 4
Today Mr.Chua asked us to think and gave us a time limit without looking at the text, he was going to test some of us. After the short quiz he gave us a glimpse of younger Presley who was more caring and loving to his loved one. In Scene 1 he didn't want to talk to REDHEAD but in scene 2. When his mother told him that when he brought a bigger house and she wanted Chandeliers, he said us and told her that she could have it in every room. I also got to know that Jesse was Elvis's twin brother who died at a very young age and was buried in the cheapest baby box that shows that they were not rich.

Term 3 Week 3
Today is Monday. Mr.Chua told us to open our text and look at Elvis fact file. The text said that he was the " King Of Rock And Roll " and best selling solo artist in history and alot of information like when he died. He was born in Tupelo Mississippi USA and died in Memphis, Tennessee USA at a young age of 42 and had a child that was later married to the king of pop, Micheal Jackson.
Tuesday, Mr.Chua told the boys to read " Older Presley " and the girls to read " REDHEAD ". From this scene i can see that Older Presley didn't treat REDHEAD very well and he thought that she was a corny just like Duke and Gerry. I can see that when REDHEAD said that she wanted to talk to him and he just asked him what she wanted and that REDHEAD wasn't what Elvis thought she was, she cared for him. Mr.Chua gave us a worksheet to be handed in the next lit lesson.

Term 3 week 2
Monday,
Mr.Chua gave us a brief introduction of Elvis Presley. He told us about him first and i didn't know who he was because i didn't understand but after that he say his name and i knew who he was but i didn't know much about him. I wanted to find out when he became succesful and how he died. He also asked us to bring 25 cents the next lesson for the Text.
Tuesday,
Mr.Chua showed us a video on Elvis singing and gave us the text. We are to study " Are we lonesome tonight" and he had a great voice. The text answered most of our questions as the text included how he died and how he treated his loved ones. I learnt alot about him then before i knew him as i only knew him as a great singer before.
